Does the HCW care about those with GID?

While working on the updates to the GRSWales website I noticed that the links to the “interesting PDF files” are now been re-directed to the new Welsh Assembly Government website, it seems that nearly all links or information on GID (Gender Identity Disorder) and GRS (Gender Reassignment Surgery) have been removed from their website.

So the question I’m asking is, Does the Health Commission Wales care about those of us diagnosed with GID or is it that they have a total disregard for something they do not understand, it certainly seems that they have no interest in the subjects of GID or GRS and are making it nigh on impossible for anyone living in Wales to get any help whatsoever.

I’m going to look further into this and get in touch the Clinical Psychologist I had to see through my transition to see if she can shine any light on what is happening with the Health Service in Wales with regards to gender issues.

But in the meantime, if anyone has any information or is having problems with funding or even getting any scrap of help from the HCW with regards to GID or GRS then please let me know.

Working hard on my website

I’ve been working hard today on my website, GRS Wales, trying to find links on the site that are out of date, I’ve found a few, but some are still there so I will continue working on it tomorrow and hopefully it will be finished.

While checking out the links I came across an interesting Disclosure log at the Welsh Assembly Goverments website where A member of the public has requested copies of Health Commission Wales information on the funding of gender identity treatment

But it does seem that the HCW (Health Commission Wales) has no interest in funding or any help for those with Gender Dysphoria as you can’t seem to find anything on their website, even by searching it.

The fight still goes on…..

Back on my Hormones after Gender Surgery

Well as of yesterday, I started back on my Premarin but with a slightly reduced dose, I am now taking two a day instead of three a day of the 1.25mg tablets.

I’m no longer taking the Androcur as requested by Dr Khoosal. Read the rest of this entry »

The Healing Process

Well I’m glad to say that everything seems to be healing up quite well, disolvable stitches are starting to go and the slight discomfort is also going.

It’s been a long journey getting here, but, I can quite honestly say it was all worth it, except for the mucking about that the Health Commission Wales put me through.
