I Cycled to and from Work Today!

I’m certainly fitter than I first thought, the weather has been so nice today, that I decided to ride my new push bike to work.

It was a bit daunting at first as I thought I might not be fit enough to do it, but it was great, it turned out a nice leisurely ride along in the sunny weather and it didn’t take me long at all ;)

What a gorgeous day it’s has been today

I can’t believe how nice the weather has been today, it was so nice I decided to grab my bikini and get out in the garden to do a little gardening, but it was still so warm, mind you it certainly helps with getting a nice tan ;)

I hope it’s a bit cooler tomorrow, as I’m in work, last week it was killing me been stuck in work when the weather was so wonderful!

Never made it to Liverpool!

Well, I was hoping to get to Liverpool today for a chance to see my clinical psychologist to say how how I’ve got on after surgery and how life was treating me, but, typical for my luck, my car broke down and I didn’t have her number on my mobile, so now I’ve got to try and find the number to ring her and apologise for missing my appointment.

If it’s not one thing it’s another with my car lately, if I could afford it I scrap the old thing and get a new one, but that’s just out of the question.

I must be completely mad!!!

In a fit of wanting to get fit, I’ve decided to get myself a push bike, no seriously I have!

And seen as the weather has decided that it’s going to behave itself then I thought that this was the right time to get one, mind you it’s been a good few years since I last rode one, so it may take a bit of practice before I’m back to how I used to be on a bike.

With the price of petrol, road tax and insurance these days, I’m hoping it will save me a few pennies

Last ever visit to see my clinical psychiatrist

I’m off to see my Clinical Psychiatrist on the 9th, no it’s not because I’m going loopy, it’s just a friendly visit to see her to show her how I’ve got on and to thank her for everything she helped me with in the early days of my transition.

I’ve not seen her for ages, so it will be a good opportunity to catch up and to find out if she has any news on the situation that others may be facing with the long fight for funding from the Health Commission Wales (HCW), which will give me the chance to post any updates about the HCW etc to this little blog and to post about them on the GRS Wales website so those that  may be starting on the transition road may find useful and what hurdles they may have to jump to get anywhere with the pig-headed HCW.

Anyway that’s on the 9th May, I’ve not got far to travel it’s only into Liverpool, it’ll be a day out and an excuse to do some shopping ;) ;)

I’ll post any news and updates around the time when I get back, but until then, ciao for now! ;)
